Who am I?
I am a novice when it
comes to programming. In fact if there is a term better than novice to refer to
a guy who loves computers and internet but has absolutely no clue about what
goes on inside the computer, that guy is me. I love spending my time watching
movies and reading books. Books, I love books and I love food. I love books
about foods even more.
Why Programming?
Games, Movies and Playing
God – those were the first few things which drew me to learn more about
programming. I love playing games on PC and on my phone. The fact that running images in the games were
the outcome of several lines of codes intrigued me. Also the Hollywood movies
about coders and hackers had their impression on my young developing brain. The
fact that with programs, one can communicate with the computer on the lowest
and most intimate level was something to look forward to for me.
Why C - of all?
Well literally there is a
sea of programming languages out there – C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Go etc. My
choice to attempt to learn C was decided after doing a quick research online. C
is a powerful program, which is elegant, has been in the syllabus of computer
science undergrads and that I had my distant cousin’s Let Us C book for quick
reference cemented my affair with C.
Why this blog?
This blog is my journal,
where I record my achievements, my failures and my experience as I try to swim
ahead in C with nothing else but self study and help from seasoned and well
learnt programmers in the C forums. This blog is an attempt to make my attempt
global that is to find if there are is any one else as crazy as me to jump into
the C of unknown.
As I will (hopefully)
progress in C, I will continue to update in the blog the several programs that
I would code successfully from the exercise of the books that I have mentioned
above.
